FULLERTON, Calif., March 13, 2018 -- Milton Security Group, Inc.®, a cybersecurity company that offers 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring, threat hunting and incident response, announced today that Milton Security and Wire Security have entered into a partnership that helps bring more clarity to the GDPR standards for American based firms.
The General Data Protection Regulation is set to replace the Data Protection Directive 95/46/ec effective May 25, 2018. The GDPR is directly applicable in each EU member state and will lead to a greater degree of data protection harmonization across EU nations. Any U.S. company that has a Web presence and markets their products over the Web will have some homework to do, as a financial transaction does not need to occur, just collection of PII.
This partnership will allow Wire Security to educate and assist current Milton Security clients how GDPR affects them, and guide them to ensure they are following the GDPR standards.
“GDPR brings a lot of unknown to American businesses. Partnerships like this helps Milton Security’s customers better understand their risk exposure.” said Jim McMurry, CEO of Milton Security. “Wim and his team at Wire Security bring years of risk management, audit experience, and direct involvement in the GDPR arena.”
“Wire Security is excited to partner with Milton Security.” Wim Remes, CEO of Wire Security said. “Through international partnerships we can help clients solve the complex challenges that they are facing, including regulatory compliance. Jim and the team have shown a dedication to customer success that is closely aligned with the Wire philosophy.”
